Track Day

Everyone is welcome to participate in Mantorp Park Track Day, regardless of previous experience. Since we want to create the absolute best conditions for you and your driving skills, we divide Mantorp Park Track Day into four driving groups. The driving sessions are 15 minutes long, and group changes are made throughout the day.

Group A: This group is intended for drivers with very little or no experience of track driving. Cars with lower power and performance may be suitable for this group. If you are an experienced driver but drive a low-powered car, this group is also for you. If you want to advance further, we recommend that you drive in Group A a number of times before you start driving in one of the other groups.

Group B:This group is intended for drivers with previous experience of driving on a track, but who are still considered beginners.

Group C:This group is intended for experienced drivers who have good control over their cars. Cars with higher power and speed are best suited to this group.

Group D:This group is intended for drivers with extensive experience and high competence in track racing. Cars with extreme performance and high power levels may be primarily suitable for this group, combined with you as a driver having the knowledge to handle the car on the track.

Mantorp Park staff have the authority to move drivers between groups if it is considered a safety risk.

It is possible to change driving groups during the day.

Please note that the number of driving groups may vary between driving sessions, depending on the number of participating drivers. All drivers will be informed of any changes to the driving schedule during the mandatory driver meeting.

Personal equipment requirements

• Driver's license or approved FIA license or SBF Racing
• Approved SBF license or one-time license purchased in advance or signed on site
• Helmet (racing or motorcycle helmet)
• Full-coverage clothing made of flame-resistant material (avoid nylon and fleece, for example)
• Good shoes and gloves

Technical regulations

• Functioning seat belt
• No loose objects in the car
• Battery attachment
• Hoses in good condition and no leaks
• Brake lights
• Brakes in good condition (fresh brake pads, brake discs, and brake fluid)
• Tires in good condition.
• Cabs must have their roofs up

Randomtechnical inspections may be carried out in the racing depot. Mantorp Park reserves the right to remove cars that do not meet the requirements for track driving.  

Carpooling

Passengers are permitted if the personal equipment requirements are met. To ride as a passenger, you must be at least 16 years old (14 years old if the passenger has a valid SBF license), purchase a passenger ticket, and attend a driver meeting.

During Mantorp Park Track Day, qualified and experienced personnel work at Mantorp Park and keep an eye on what is happening out on the track. The entire track is monitored by a camera system that is manned throughout the day. We currently have 16 cameras. Of course, rescue personnel are also on site, all to ensure that you as a participant feel safe and well cared for at Mantorp Park.

The purpose of Mantorp Park Track Day is to have fun and develop as a driver. Please note that this is a track day for road-legal vehicles, and all vehicles must comply with the rules for road-legal cars. Mantorp Park Track Day is not a competition, and no lap times will be recorded. Show consideration for each other and drive sensibly.
